A child's health care needs differ from an adult's, both medically and developmentally.

For this reason, it is important to take your child to physicians who are trained to prevent and manage the health needs of children, whether they be immunizations, school physicals, asthma care or heart surgery. If your child ever needed to be admitted to a hospital, you will also want to make sure that the doctor you select can see your child at a children's hospital.

Children's Physician Network is a team of medical specialists who have chosen children's medicine as a career, with over 200 primary care pediatricians and nurse practitioners and more than 500 subspecialty physicians practicing in independent clinics throughout the Twin Cities. Each pediatrician has had at least three years of special training focused on the medical needs of children and adolescents. They are the experts in children's health.

Don't wait until your child is sick or needs a check-up to choose a doctor. If you recently moved, changed health coverage or are expecting a baby, you need to find a doctor for your child as soon as possible.

Many people select a physician based on location alone. Your choice is too important.

Give yourself enough time to search our directory.

Remember, you'll be choosing the professional who helps prevent and manage your child's health problems from infancy to young adulthood.
